A little bit of Old Town

Our guide will meet and greet you in our Tourist Information Office at Plac Szczepanski, a 2-minute walk from the Main Market Square of Krakow. From there, you will walk through the Planty Gardens, the majestic Barbican and St. Florian’s Gate. Via Florianska St. you will continue the tour to the Main Market Square, where you will listen to the legends about the St. Mary’s Basilica, see the Cloth Hall, St. Adalbert’s Church and the Town Hall Tower with the head of Eros Bendato beneath.

Upon leaving the Main Market Square, you will proceed towards the University district where we will view the buildings of the Jagiellonian University – Collegium Maius (the oldest academic building in Poland) and Collegium Novum (the rector’s office) and hear the stories about WWII. You will then follow the footsteps of Pope John Paul II, one of our greatest countrymen.

A little bit of Jewish Quarter

Continuing our tour you will view Kazimierz, once a former city, today one of the districts of Krakow. With its interesting heritage, it is one of the most attractive places to see. Thanks to hundreds of centuries of mixed Polish and Jewish history, Kazimierz is a district where anybody can feel unique. You will see the synagogues and cemetery and hear all about them; their history as well as legends.

From the Jewish Town, you will continue to Corpus Christi Church – a gothic temple with a baroque interior. From Kazimierz you will walk back to the Old Town, ending our tour beneath the Wawel Castle, the royal residence of Polish princes and kings since the 10th century. There you can take a short break and follow us up the Wawel Hill, where our next tour starts!

Begin your tour with meeting our representative at the main meeting point Plac Szczepaล„ski 8, Krakow Old Town – 5 minutes walk from the main market square) and meet your English-speaking guide. During the tour you will know the history of the Old Town & Jewish Quarters (Kazimierz District). The finish of the tour is right by Wawel where you can stay to admire the panorama of Krakow or take a boat tour on Vistula river or join another tour – Wawel Royal Castle, guided tour in Krakow.
